  • Correct installation and configuration are key to unlocking the full potential of the XKC-LD002. Shenzhen StarCore Technology Co., Ltd. provides professional engineering guidance for successful deployment.
    Part 1: Mechanical Installation Guidelines
    • Mounting: Ceiling-mount recommended for optimal coverage and minimal obstruction. Wall-mount is possible with attention to beam angle.

    • Height: Ideal range is 2.5 - 3.5 meters. Too high reduces micro-motion sensitivity; too low limits coverage.

    • Coverage: Typically covers a 5-8 meter diameter zone (for static detection) when ceiling-mounted, depending on reflectivity.

    • Best Practices:
      1. Avoid pointing directly at large metal objects or windows to prevent strong interference.

      2. Ensure sensor face is unobstructed.

      3. Space multiple sensors adequately to avoid beam crossover.

Part 2: Electrical Connection & Configuration
    • Power: Standard DC 5V/12V input. Ensure clean, stable power supply.

    • Outputs: Provides Digital Output (NO/NC relay) and UART TTL Serial. Digital output can directly control lights; serial offers rich data (distance, signal strength).

    • Key Parameters (set via DIP switch or serial command):
      • Sensitivity: Adjust detection threshold for different environments (open office vs. cluttered closet).

      • Hold Time: Delay between “vacant” detection and output switch-off, preventing nuisance triggers.

      • Lux Threshold (if used with photocell): Set ambient light level for activation.

    Part 3: Validation Testing
Post-installation, conduct sit-test, walk-away test, and micro-motion test to verify performance. StarCore Tech provides comprehensive documentation and support tools for swift commissioning.
