After a hot dishwasher rinse, the bottom collection sump cools rapidly and its walls instantly

condense water. The photoelectric level switch cannot tell "condensation" from "real water"

and sends a false full signal to the mainboard — the inlet pump stops, the drain pump runs

dry. Long-term detergent immersion also clouds the photoelectric lens.
