Whether for incoming inspection or troubleshooting, knowing how to test if a water purifier level sensor is good or bad is a fundamental skill. Shenzhen StarCore Technology Co., Ltd., adhering to a philosophy of openness and professionalism, shares core testing methods used in our factory, empowering you to become a testing expert.

Method 1: Basic Function Test (Power-On Test)
This is the most direct test. Connect the sensor to a power supply as per the datasheet specifications, and monitor its output signal using an oscilloscope or multimeter.

  1. No-Water State Test: Ensure no medium is in front of the sensor, and record the output signal (e.g., low level).

  2. Water-Present State Test: Bring the sensor's sensing face close to the outer wall of a container filled with water, and record if the signal toggles (e.g., changes to high level).
If the signal correctly changes with the presence/absence of water, the sensor's core functionality is normal.

Method 2: Sensitivity & Consistency Test
This test relates to product accuracy. Use a device that can precisely control the water level height. Slowly raise and lower the water level, observing the critical point where the sensor's output state changes. Repeat this test multiple times; the critical point should be highly consistent. Thanks to precise calibration processes, StarCore Tech's sensors can achieve an action point consistency within ±0.5mm.
Method 3: Reliability (Endurance) Test
Simulate long-term usage scenarios. Install the sensor on a test fixture, connect it to a relay controlling a water pump, and perform tens of thousands of on/off cycles. After testing, the sensor's performance parameters should not show significant drift. This is the validation process for the long-life advantage of our non-contact capacitive sensors.
As products that have passed CE certification, every sensor from StarCore Tech undergoes even more rigorous tests before leaving the factory, ensuring 100% reliability for our customers.
