Correct installation is the foundation for ensuring optimal sensor performance. Shenzhen SingoCreate Technology Co., Ltd.'s non-contact capacitive level sensors are easy to install. Following this guide ensures quick commissioning.
Pre-Installation Preparation:
  1. 1.

Confirm Installation Location: Choose a flat area on the external tank wall without welds or sharp bends. Ensure the sensor makes tight contact with the wall after installation.

  2. 2.

Clean the Tank Wall: Thoroughly clean the installation area of oil, grease, and dust using alcohol or acetone to ensure no impurities between the sensor and the wall.

  3. 3.

Address Coatings/Insulation: If the metal tank has anti-corrosion paint or insulation on the external wall, it must be completely removed at the installation point to ensure good electrical connection between the sensor's ground and the tank body.

Installation Steps:
  1. 1.

    Mount the Sensor:
    • Magnetic Mounting (Metal Tanks): Directly attach the sensor via the strong magnet on its back to the prepared tank wall.

    • Adhesive Mounting (Non-Metallic Tanks): Fix using high-strength, corrosion-resistant adhesive.

  2. 2.

Electrical Wiring: Connect the power wires (typically 24V DC) and signal output wires according to the wiring diagram, ensuring correct polarity.

On-site Debugging:
  1. 1.

Dry Tank Debugging (Empty): After powering on, slowly adjust the sensitivity potentiometer on the sensor until the alarm indicator is in the normal state.

  2. 2.

Wet Tank Verification (Full): Fill the tank with electrolyte; the sensor should trigger the signal accurately when the level reaches it.

  3. 3.

Locking: After debugging, secure the potentiometer with thread-locker.

Precautions:
  • Avoid installation near strong sources of electromagnetic interference.

  • For FRP tanks, ensure uniform wall thickness not exceeding the sensor's maximum detection distance.

Conclusion
By following the steps above, you can quickly complete the installation and debugging of SingoCreate Tech level sensors. For technical support, our engineering team is ready to provide remote guidance.
