The pure water stored in an RO reverse osmosis water purifier's clean tank is for direct drinking. However, many models use electrode-type level sensors — metal probes immersed long-term in pure water cause trace metal ion leaching, raising secondary pollution concerns. Rubber seals on float switches harbor bacteria, and pure water's poor lubricity makes float jamming rates even higher than with tap water. Optical sensor lenses fog with condensation beads on tank inner walls during temperature swings, blocking the light path and causing false level readings.

Shenzhen Xingkechuang Technology Co., Ltd.'s XKC-Y29A non-contact level sensor completely solves these problems: the probe sticks to the outside PP/AS wall of the clean tank. Based on the capacitive principle, water has εr≈80 while air is εr≈1. When the real water level covers the electrode, system capacitance jumps significantly, and the chip compares calibrated empty/full values to flip the output. The ΔC caused by inner-wall condensation film and hanging water beads is minimal — far below the trigger threshold — and is discarded by the algorithm. The sensor never contacts liquid, causing zero contamination to the pure water path. It penetrates 1–10 mm non-metallic walls and mounts with adhesive without mold changes. For purifier manufacturers, this passes sanitation certifications while eliminating overflow and dry-boil failures.
