A floor washer's dirty tank collects floor wastewater plus dust lint plus detergent — let it sit

for a few hours and a layer of bacterial film floats on top. A float switch jams within three

days. A photoelectric lens covered in oily grime stops triggering on full, and dirty water backs

up into the motor compartment, making it a high-frequency after-sales failure.

Shenzhen Xingkechuang Technology Co., Ltd.'s non-contact level sensor places the

electrode on the outside of the dirty tank (usually PP/PE). The capacitive principle detects

the overall dielectric state inside the tank; bacterial film, water mist, and hanging droplets

produce only a tiny ΔC and are filtered out by the algorithm. Only a genuine liquid level

triggers the full-tank signal, and the whole machine never touches the dirty water, satisfying

electrical isolation requirements.

The same logic applies to the clean-water tank side for dry-burn prevention. One article

covers both tanks — a common retrofit for floor-washer mainboard makers to lower BOM

failure rates
