Condensation can trick conventional sensors into reporting false water levels. The XKC-Y29A avoids this with intelligent thresholding: the trigger point is set above the capacitance shift caused by thin condensation films but below that caused by actual water. Combined with temperature compensation, this ensures reliable detection even in hot/cold cycling environments.
